Intimate songwriter series returns to Sioux Falls, celebrating the stories behind the songs while supporting the local community

Sioux Falls, SD — [January 5, 2026] — Following a successful debut in December, Crazy Poet Records returns with its first Writers Round of the new year on January 31 at 7 p.m. at Phil’s. Writers Round is an intimate songwriter series showcasing standout regional artists and the stories that inspire their music.

“After such a strong launch, we’re excited to bring Writers Round back in 2026,” said David Pendery, CEO of Crazy Poet Records. “This series is about creating space for great songs, honest stories and a deeper connection between artists, their fans and the community.”

Hosted by Dave Holly, the January Writers Round will feature three standout songwriters: Morgan Harris of Red Maker, Ben Gertner and Tyler VonEye. Together, they’ll share the stage, swapping songs and stories in a relaxed, acoustic setting that brings listeners closer to the music.

In lieu of a cover charge, attendees are encouraged to bring cash donations to benefit Bishop Dudley Hospitality House (https://www.bdhh.org/), supporting its mission to serve individuals and families in need.

Writers Round is presented by Crazy Poet Music Group, The Warehouse Recording Studio and Phil’s. Each session features a mix of Crazy Poet artists and other regional songwriters, giving audiences a fresh lineup every time. The series will continue roughly every six weeks with new combinations of artists and genres each round.
